Eid al-Fitr: The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extends wishes to Algerian people

ALGIERS- The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Tuesday evening extended wishes to the Algerian people on Eid al-Fitr, commending the atmosphere of high spirituality, solidarity and mutual aid throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

"Tomorrow we will welcome the first day of Eid al-Fitr, may Almighty Allah accept our fasting, our prayers and our good deeds," the president of the Republic said in a address to the Algerian people on Eid al-Fitr.

"We have spent the month of Ramadan this year in an atmosphere of high spirituality and peace, through the abundance of products and price control, which have protected citizens from those motivated by self-interest, to whom they had been kept hostage, during the month of Ramadan, for years," the president of the Republic said.

"Praising Almighty Allah for this stability, I want to extend my thanks, once again, to the benevolent and charitable shopkeepers, their representatives, and all economic actors and partners for their efforts in favour of citizens and the expression of mutual aid and solidarity, deep-rooted qualities of the Algerian society."

"I reiterate my best wishes on Eid al-Fitr to you and our national community abroad, as well as to our brothers in occupied Palestine, especially the wounded Gaza Strip. Happy Eid Day, glory and eternity to our valiant martyrs and May peace accompany you," the president of the Republic concluded.
