Mrs.Mansouri attends the sixth summit of the African Union's Committee of Ten on the reform of the United Nations Security Council

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, representing the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, participated Friday via videoconference in the 6th Summit of the African Union (AU) Committee of Ten (C10) on the Reform of the United Nations Security Council.
President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone chaired the Summit, which focused on the adoption of a reform framework reflecting Africa’s unified stance, intended for submission to the UN General Assembly President as part of ongoing intergovernmental negotiations.
Speaking at the Summit, Mansouri reiterated, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Algeria’s commitment to defending Africa’s legitimate right to fair and permanent representation on the United Nations Security Council, in line with the Sirte Declaration and Ezulwini Consensus.
She emphasized the necessity of unifying African ranks and ramping up efforts toward comprehensive reform that would restore balance to the international order based on justice and equity.
